The Star Awards were created to recognize and celebrate the outstanding individuals and organizations who contribute to the strength, professionalism, and reputation of New Brunswick’s insurance broker community.
Every year, brokers, staff, and industry partners go above and beyond — supporting clients, mentoring colleagues, strengthening teams, and championing the broker channel. The Star Awards exist to ensure those efforts are recognized and celebrated.
If you know someone who consistently raises the bar, we encourage you to take a few minutes to nominate them. Your nomination helps shine a light on the people who make our industry such a great place to work.
Nominations Open: February 2, 2026
Nomination Deadline: April 24, 2026, at 4:00 pm

You don’t need polished writing or formal language — judges are looking for real examples and authentic stories.
To strengthen your nomination:
Choose the award category that best fits your nominee
Share specific examples that show why this person stands out
Tell a short story rather than listing duties or titles
Include supporting materials when possible (testimonials, photos, articles, or recognition)
Thoughtful nominations give judges valuable context and help ensure deserving individuals receive recognition.
Nominations are evaluated by an independent panel of five industry professionals, which may include representatives from:
Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC)
Other provincial insurance associations
Retired broker channel professionals
Insurance company partners
IBANB Professional Development Committee representatives
Judges review submissions independently using secure online software and do not have access to other judges’ rankings.
If someone comes to mind — that’s your sign.
