Recognizing Outstanding Individuals!

The Star Awards were created to acknowledge and celebrate the successes of individuals and brokerages working in New Brunswick.

Our awards program has seen various evolutions since they began but the goal has always been to recognize the outstanding achievements of the New Brunswick insurance broker community.  We encourage our members and those eligible to submit nominations to help us acknowledge those deserving individuals who make this such a wonderful profession.

Be sure to share a nomination for that special person in your organization before March 29, 2024. All award winners will be revealed during our Annual Convocation and Awards Gala held at the Delta in Fredericton, on May 9, 2024.

We feature THREE award categories aimed at recognizing individuals and brokerages who proudly provide exemplary service and dedication to our industry.

Tips on How to Make a Winning Submission

To give your candidate the best chance for success here are some TIPS to help them snag an award spot!

  1. Be sure the candidate meets the award criteria. With a few awards to choose from find the one or even two that best fit the individual you nominate.
  2. Don't just list everything the candidate has done - tell us about them.  Give examples not just one or two words - tell us a story.
  3. Include supporting documents when possible - copies of newspaper clippings; photos of awards they have won; testimonials related to the category criteria; and give the judges some context.
  4. Don't wait until the last minute to collect information and submit it! We all have good intentions but this step could make the difference for them becoming a finalist - put in your best effort!

Judges

Submissions will be judged by an independent panel of five industry professionals.

The panel will consist of a combination of representatives from one or more of the following organizations including our PD committee representatives: the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC), other provincial Insurance Associations, retired industry peers from the broker channel as well as insurance company partners.

Judges will review all submissions utilizing online software.

Judges will work independently and cannot view rankings made by any other judges.
