Each year, we offer several bursaries to help ease the financial burden of higher learning. Whether you’re entering the insurance industry or pursuing another career path, these awards recognize the hard work and dedication of students connected to our member brokerages.

Available Bursaries

HUESTIS Bursary – $2,000
Offered in partnership with David and Faye Huestis, this bursary is awarded to a student entering the insurance field who requires financial support. It honours David’s lifelong commitment to the industry, which began in 1966.

IBANB General Bursaries – 3 available ($1,000 each)
Open to full-time students in any field of study at a university, college, or post-secondary institution. Applicants must be a dependent (or grand/stepchild) of a broker or staff member from an IBANB member brokerage.

Rus Rice Memorial Bursary – $1,000
This special award honours the legacy of Rus Rice and provides support to the dependents of staff working at IBANB member brokerages.
