Melanie has been a dedicated professional in the insurance industry since 2000, with a career that has evolved from commercial analyst to a respected educator and mentor. Currently with Economical Insurance, she is responsible for training staff at all levels and developing course materials, consistently earning outstanding feedback and achieving exceptional student success rates.
Recognized twice as the IIO-Conestoga Chapter Instructor of the Year, Melanie is known for her dynamic teaching style, ability to simplify complex subjects, and genuine commitment to her students’ success. She holds her CIP and CRM designations, is completing her FCIP, and has also achieved her Adult Teacher/Trainer certification from Conestoga College.
Beyond the classroom, Melanie is an active industry advocate and volunteer. She supports the Insurance Institute through the Career Connections Ambassador program, serves on the IIO–Conestoga Chapter Council as Vice-Chair Professional, and regularly contributes to community initiatives such as the CIBC Run for the Cure, Adopt-A-Family, and other charitable causes.
