About your presenters: Rebecca Buckley and Christy Silvestri

Rebecca has been working in the insurance industry for over 15 years, with experience on both the company and broker side, most recently managing a small Atlantic brokerage.

Rebecca holds her BA degree from Saint Mary's, a Masters of Library & Information Studies degree from Dalhousie, and she has completed the CAIB courses.

As a Strategy Creator & Training Specialist at Quickfacts, Rebecca is passionate about improving the workplace and implementing positive changes for employees. In order to do this effectively for customers, Rebecca has just finished her certification in Agile Workplace Development at Saint Mary's University.

Christy has over 15 years of experience as an Insurance Broker and managing traditional and digital brokerages. Before launching QuickFacts, Christy was the Director of Operations and Innovation for Cheep Insurance, the first fully-digital insurance brokerage in Atlantic Canada.

She was the Chair of the Young Broker Network from 2017-2018 and was privileged to sit on the IBANS board of directors from 2018 – 2020. While she was on the board, she taught CAIB courses 1 through 4 to help students on their path to gaining their CAIB designation.

Most importantly, Christy is referred to by industry friends and co-workers as an “Insurance Nerd” and a trusted source for  all things operations and change management.
