Workshop info:

In this session, you will learn about Brave Spaces and the 4 A's of Allyship. In addition, you will become familiar with the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym, the terminology of the rainbow community. This is a great opportunity to broaden your understanding, ask any questions that come to mind, and leave feeling empowered to be a true ally. Get ready for an exciting journey of learning and growth!

Participant outcomes:

• Familiarization with the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym & rainbow terminology
• Know non-traditional pronouns & how/when to use them
• Know how to speak and work with queer+, trans+ and gender-diverse people in an equitable manner
• Have an understanding of intersectionality (considering gender, race, class, sexual orientation, physical ability, etc.) and how to take an intersectional approach to allyship
• Navigate systems from the perspective of a queer+/trans+ person
