Commercial Disaster Planning will review the phases of disaster management, emergency action plans how to devise an emergency action plan and guidelines for a successful plan. The phases of disaster management include preparedness response, mitigation, and recovery. Each phase is discussed and we expand on these topics. The course focuses on Disaster Planning for businesses. While we cannot always prevent disasters and emergencies, in some cases we can help to minimize damage. We can also plan for how to handle communications, safety, and survival until the emergency or disaster has passed or been repaired.
Pam de Boer is an independent contractor working with the Paul Davis network on the presentation of Continuing Education courses and various special projects. Pam previously worked for Paul Davis for 13 years in Business Development and Continuing Education. Her experience prior to that includes insurance company and brokerage experience for almost 30 years.
She has her FCIP and CRM designations and is the Vice President of the Disaster Recovery Information Exchange, an association of business continuity professionals.
